The European Training Foundation will lower the flags of the European Union and Italy to half-mast on Saturday 18 August as a tribute to all those who have been injured or lost their lives in the collapse of the Morandi bridge in Genoa on 14 August. The Italian Government has declared a day of national mourning. The European Training Foundation joins European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker in expressing its solidarity and sincere condolences to the friends and families of the victims and the Italian people, as well as its admiration for all those involved in the rescue operations.
