University of Haci Bektas Veli, Avanos Vocational School
Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, Avanos Vocational School has started its education with 34 students, including Computer Technologies and Electronic Communication Programs with an additional quota in the 2009-2010 academic year. All necessary physical conditions, technical laboratory and gymnasium equipment, and classrooms were made ready for education, and students were recruited to Organic Farming, Architectural Restoration, Private Security and Protection Programs during the 2012-2013 academic period. Students were recruited to Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and Private Security and Protection (SE-Secondary Education) programs in the 2013-2014 academic year, and recruited to the Architectural Decorative Arts Program in the 2015-2016 academic year. Our Vocational School continues its education in 6 different programs under 4 departments. Today, this number has reached 21 in our Vocational School, which started its education with 7 academic staffs. Our building is a 5-storey building with an area of 672 square meters and has a total of 3.360 square meters. It has a capacity of 566 students at the same time. It has a physical structure with 9 Classrooms, 1 Computer Laboratory, 1 Architectural Decorative Application Workshop, 1 Architectural Decorative Tile and Basic Art Workshop, 4 Handicraft Department Workshops, 1 Crop Animal Production Laboratory, 1 Technical Drawing Classroom, 1 Gymnasium, 1 Canteen, 1 Dining Hall, and consists of 17 study offices belonging to academic and administrative units. There is a gym and a student canteen in the basement of our school, and there is a dining hall on the ground floor. Our conference hall has 60 people capacity, and has the necessary technical equipment. Our Vocational School continues to work towards becoming a model education and teaching institution in Turkey, and it continues to add field-related developments to its services. Our Vocational School, with its facilities and academic staffs has six programs (Architectural Decorative Arts, Organic Farming, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Architectural Restoration, Private Security and Protection (Primary Education), Private Security and Protection (Secondary Education)), and strives to include all the innovations in their content within the educational activities.
