Towards referencing to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF)

The European Qualifications Framework serves as a common reference and a translation tool between different qualifications of the European area. EQF aims at enhancing the transparency of qualifications, facilitating mobility of people and encouraging lifelong learning.

Referencing reports presented by the countries participating in the works of the EQF Advisory Group (EQF AG) serve as a rich source of information supporting understanding of their qualifications.

In case of countries aspiring to the EU membership, referencing to EQF demonstrates alignment of their education and skills development systems with the European education and labour market and their commitment to the implementation of the EU acquis.

The European Training Foundation (ETF) in collaboration with the European Commission’s Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL) and the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) is organising this webinar targeted specifically at the EU-candidate countries that are planning to start working on the referencing process: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The webinar aims to support the partners in understanding the referencing process and provide them with knowledge and tools necessary for the preparation of their referencing reports.
