Torino Process 2022-2024 - Review of policies for lifelong learning in Egypt: national launch meeting

Egypt is an active participant in the new round of the Torino Process, which the European Training Foundation (ETF) has launched with a specific focus on monitoring the performance of education and training systems in a lifelong learning perspective, and on reviewing policies for lifelong learning. 

This event will present the results from the Torino Process on the performance of VET systems in Egypt. It will also mark the start of a review of lifelong learning policies and discussion of the two themes in focus on the Applied Technology Schools (ATS). The first theme is international recognition or accreditation of ATS programmes. The second theme is expansion of public private partnerships in the network of ATS providers.

The meeting aims to:

• Present the Torino Process monitoring results for Egypt to a broader audience.
• Discuss and finalise the scope and themes of the Torino Process policy review with national stakeholders
• Identify key institutions to form a reference group to oversee the review
• Outline the next steps in the review process.
