Workshop on Quality Assurance tools for work-based learning in Moldova

The ETF regional project on work-based learning in VET (‘Skills Connexion’) implemented in 2015-2017 aims to promote policy development and implementation of work-based learning in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
Concerning Moldova, during the period of the project implementation the following has been achieved:
• Mapping of the work-based learning (WBL) landscape in Moldova;
• Supporting policy development in WBL and sharing existing good practices through Peer-learning visits organised both in Partner Countries and EU member states.
• Analysis of the opportunity to develop schemes / mechanisms for work-based learning, based on the readiness tool developed by the ETF and on the priorities identified by national stakeholders;
• Improvement of stakeholders’ co-operation at various levels through focus groups.
In October 2016 during focus group (gathering stakeholders from “education world” as well as industry) several priorities have been identified. The development of Quality Assurance (QA) tools for WBL was highlighted as one of the most relevant priorities. In the first part of 2017, four draft tools have been designed. Representatives of the stakeholders concerned have discussed, improved and validated them during the workshop held in July 2017.
The present workshop follows up the meeting in July and aims at:
• Presenting and testing final versions of the four Tools for Quality Assurance of WBL designed for Moldova context.
• Preparing the dissemination of the tools among the partners implementing the WBL programs
