Skills mismatch incidence workshop in Montenegro

The European Training Foundation - ETF (EU Agency) will organise in Podgorica (7 March 2019) a workshop on the topic of measuring skills mismatches, within the overall context of developing data and information relevant for evidence based policies in the field of education and skills, employment and social affairs.

In 2017 and 2018, the ETF implemented an initiative to assess the feasibility of calculating the incidence of mismatches by relying essentially on data sources that are regularly available, comparable across the ETF Partner Countries and in line with international and European approaches to this subject.

The event has as main objectives to present the findings of the analysis of skills mismatch incidence in Montenegro and other ETF Partner Countries and discuss possible solutions to continue, on regular basis, measurement of skills mismatch and explore additional variables that would help planning of policies for matching skills supply and demand.

The ETF will also share the results of data collection on key indicators for education, skills and employment and discuss priorities for further development and capacity building in the area of statistics and data management.

Participants are invited to discuss the state of play, current initiatives and remaining challenges in developing data management and monitoring systems in areas of education, employment and social inclusion. The aim is to identify priorities and actions that will help Montenegro to further expand current practices of data management and interpretation (analysis). The outcomes of this discussion may guide in future the EU and ETF in planning the support to Montenegro authorities.
