Policy Lab METH -Validation of non-formal and informal learning: from concepts to implementation. focus on the Assessment phase. Training of assessors.

Learning programme: training of assessors in context of validation of non-formal learning (VNFIL). The objective of this initiative is to support development of systematic VNFIL arrangements and prepare for implementation.
This 5-days training workshop moves a step forward towards sustainable and accessible services of validation of learning outputs acquired throughout professional and social life. The group of 15 trainees represent the Ministry of Education and Science, the Centre for Adult Education (CAE), the Economic Chamber, the State Examination Centre and various adult training institutions, which have been cooperating with the VNFIL working group and ETF support since 2014. VNFIL is not new in the country, and good practice has been generated through the activities of the "Build Up Skills project" (EU supported), which grew in the sector of construction and electrical engineering. But a nationally coordinated approach, well articulated with the NQF and the national occupational standards is only being constructed, with ETF support and led by CAE. VNFIL has a clearly defined space in the NQF law, in the Law on Adult Education, in the VET law and is mentioned in strategic orientations for the education and training system. This training programme is ambitious and helps each participant in designing individual development plans as VNFIL professionals. ETF is the main supporter of VNFIL policy and capacity development in the country and coordinates all activities with the NQF Unit of Ministry of Education and Science.
