The international dimension of Centres of vocational excellence: Building Vocational Excellence through international cooperation. Meeting of the Consultation Panel

The ETF, in close cooperation with DG EMPL, is implementing the project The International Dimension of Centres of Vocational Excellence: Building Vocational Excellence through International Cooperation. A Consultation Panel has been established to accompany the work of the project over the next two years and to validate its outputs.

The Panel met on three occasions during 2022 to review the development of the self-assessment tool, the feasibility study and the research.  Members of the Panel provided detailed comments upon the self-assessment framework during the meetings but also by means of written comments.

During the course of 2022, the self-assessment framework has been drafted and submitted to a consultation process resulting in several hundred responses.  In the light of these responses, the assessment framework has been revised and this meeting will give the Consultative Panel the opportunity to review this work before the start of the pilot in April.

The Panel will also be briefed on the arrangements for the pilot and receive updates on the development of the platform and the guidance materials.

In November-December 2022, members of the Panel were invited to comment upon a concept paper setting out an outline for the design of a system for recognizing excellent Centres of Vocational Excellence through a combination of labels and awards.

During this meeting members of the Consultative Panel will review the self-assessment framework, developed under the project and revised as a result of a wide consultation process. The Panel will also be briefed on the arrangements for the pilot and receive updates on the development of the platform and the guidance materials. During the meeting, the participants will also discuss a draft feasibility study on Excellence Award.
