The European Training Foundation will fly flags at half-mast on Saturday July 1 to pay tribute to former German chancellor Helmut Kohl, the Honorary Citizen of Europe, who died on June 16, aged 87.

The European Training Foundation will fly flags at half-mast on Saturday July 1 to pay tribute to former German chancellor Helmut Kohl, the Honorary Citizen of Europe, who died on June 16.

To honour the legacy of Dr. Kohl the three European institutions are co-organising a European Ceremony of Honour on 1 July in the European Parliament in Strasbourg. This will be followed by a ceremonial event in the cathedral in Speyer (Germany).
