Greening of VET in the Danube Region: Changing skill demands and the role of Centers of Vocational Excellence

The 3rd Meeting of the Danube Region Platform on Centres of Vocational Excellence is a joint event organised by the Danube Region Platform under Priority Area 9 (PA9) of the EUSDR (EU Strategy for the Danube Region) and the ETF.

It will shed light on key issues of changing skill demands and the role of Centres of Vocational Excellence in meeting these demands. Construction and energy sectors will be taken as examples for the green transition. Furthermore, the event aims at enabling transnational cooperation, identifying opportunities for cooperation in these areas in the Danube Region. In addition to the sectoral focus, the meeting will address the issue of Greening of VET in general, inviting policy platform members to present related key initiatives and good practices in the Danube Region countries.

The event will be upon invitation in presence and in English only.

The key takeaways of the meeting will be:

• Understanding  the changing skill demands in the construction and energy sectors in light of the green transition and related key VET policy developments at EU level;
• Awareness of the challenges, opportunities and potentials of VET arising from the changing skill demands in the two sectors;
