TVET centres of excellence for Rwanda

Rwanda’s Vision 2050 emphasises that the country’s ambitious economic goals can only be achieved through structural transformation.
In the medium term, employment in modern manufacturing and service sectors is to be increased in order to achieve greater regional
and international integration.

The Rwandan government recognises technical and vocational education and training (TVET) as one of the central pillars of economic transformation and industrial development.

One way to achieve this is to establish so-called TVET Centres of Excellence, a path that numerous countries have already taken in order to achieve the highest quality of training in selected sectors.
