Evidence on skills
DARYA Thematic Module 1 – Monitoring and Assessment of Education and Training Outcomes focuses on strengthening the use of evidence, analysis, and monitoring to inform forward-looking skills development. The module aims to equip young people in Central Asia with more market-relevant and adaptable skills.
It supports countries in consolidating labour market and skills information systems and in building capacity to apply innovative skills identification and anticipation tools. These efforts are complemented by a range of practical resources, including Guides and Toolkits for Skills Anticipation and Labour Market Intelligence, which provide methodologies and policy-oriented guidance; reports from the piloting of skills anticipation instruments in the countries of Central Asia, which present evidence and lessons learnt from national and regional pilot activities; and the Skills Anticipation and Matching e-Toolkit, an online training programme on skills anticipation and labour market intelligence (available also in Russian). Together, these resources support the development of improved career guidance, activation, and skills development services, as well as the collection of internationally comparable data on employability and school-to-work transitions.
Under this module, the project explores a range of skills anticipation instruments and examines how information on skills demand can be used to inform education, training, and employment measures—particularly in the areas of career guidance and labour market transitions. Activities include peer learning among Central Asian countries and with European Union partners, capacity-building initiatives, and piloting exercises. Below, you can find an overview of the events, publications, and other resources delivered and supported by the project under this thematic module.
