About

Country Delegations from all five Central Asian countries expressed a strong interest in exploring the use of the SCAFFOLD card deck in their country, when the tool was first presented to them in June 2023.

This second DARYA SCAFFOLD phase will indicatively last from early 2025 to spring 2026. It should build upon lessons learnt and focus on the systematic and sustainable introduction of SCAFFOLD into education systems, in order to allow educators, schools and colleges throughout the system to become familiar with the tool, receive guidance on its use and share experiences. This will only be possible, if SCAFFOLD can be introduced into educator pre-service training, in-service training and professional development, but also adult education and learning. We also need to explore together how the existing group of SCAFFOLD trainers can be engaged and further strengthened, how more schools and colleges can be supported with the introduction of a team-based approach and how the exiting SCAFFOLD learning materials and activities can be further developed, improved and made accessible. As a SCAFFOLD community, we also need to understand how best to organise on-line and face-to-face peer learning and as a regional community, what are areas of common interest among organisations or practitioner categories from the participating Central Asian countries

This second webinar of the DARYA SCAFFOLD FORUM is fully dedicated to work in six thematic groups:

  • Introducing SCAFFOLD into in-service training and professional development of educators

  • Introducing SCAFFOLD into pre-service training

  • Introducing SCAFFOLD in adult education and training

  • Supporting schools, lyceums and colleges with the systematic team-based use of SCAFFOLD

  • Developing the SCAFFOLD trainer team

  • Making SCAFFOLD accessible to educators

In order to cater for the wide experience and also multiple roles and interests of participants, the session will provide the opportunity for each participant to take part in two different groups, so to contribute to two different topics.
