GLAD-GRETA seminar on Social Dialogue and the Green and Just Transition – Follow-up to the Tripartite Exchange Seminar 2024

Social dialogue for a green and just transition – this was the topic of the 2024 Tripartite Exchange Seminar (TES), organised by Eurofound, the European Environment Agency, CEDEFOP and ETF, and hosted by the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels.

During two and half days, representatives of social partners (government, employers or business representatives, union representatives) from 18 EU member states and 4 economies of the Western Balkans engaged in intensive information exchange and discussion on the opportunities and challenges of social dialogue in support of a green and just transition in line with the European Green Deal and other climate related commitments.

Through this GLAD-GRETA webinar, ETF aims to recapture the main highlights of the TES, reflect on the experience of participating Western Balkans representatives, and link the discourse to ongoing activities in which ETF is involved through its green VET initiative GRETA (=Greening Responses to Excellence through Thematic Actions) implemented in the ETF Network for Excellence. Eurofound and the European Commission will provide an input on social dialogue at European level and the importance of strengthening social dialogue in the context of pre-accession. 

The event will be in English with interpretation into Albanian, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin, Serbian, French, Ukrainian and Russian. Moderators: Matthias Themel, Human Capital Development Expert and thematic lead on social dialogue, Susanne Nielsen, Human Capital Development Expert, and thematic lead on green VET.
