ETF Research Forum on Evidence-Based Policies on Skills and Migration
About
This forum forms part of ETF’s integrated work on the skills dimension of migration, bringing together academic and field research, policy analysis, and support to the European Commission and Partner Countries. Its overall objective is to contribute to improved labour migration within a triple win logic – benefiting countries of destination, countries of origin, and migrants themselves.
The event will gather authors from the 2025 Call for Papers under the ETF Community of Migration experts (MIGCOM) under the Skills Lab Network of Experts, representatives of the European Commission, members of the ETF Governing Board, and ETF staff.
The programme will include:
- Presentation and discussion of key evidence on skills and labour migration in the EU neighbouring regions and beyond
- Policy-relevant findings and recommendations to inform EU initiatives addressing skills shortages and unemployment
- Presentation of two ETF publications featuring selected research articles
The event is upon invitation only but webstream will be available for day 2 (10 June 2026).
