Seminar on Regional and national approaches to occupational and qualifications standards in Central Asia
About
Acquisition and provision of skills and qualifications worldwide and in Central Asia have been shifting from input-based approaches to output and competence-based teaching, learning and assessment practices. Acquisition of competences in formal, non-formal and informal contexts is an everyday reality, whereas countries are developing legislative and operational approaches to recognise skills no matter the context of their acquisition. This seminar has the objectives to present results of the DARYA pilot on the development of multicountry occupational profiles, discuss lessons learned and future perspectives; to zoom on qualifications design practices in the countries of Central Asia, discuss lessons and recommendations following DARYA qualifications’ pilots; to explore practices of qualifications’ design, governance and registries in Italy (national level) and in the Italian Region of Piemonte (regional level), and in France; to explore some existing tools of skills’, occupations’ and qualifications’ intelligence and interoperability.
