National qualifications framework – Türkiye

Türkiye adopted its NQF, the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF), in 2015. It has eight levels and includes all types and levels of qualifications and certificates.
The Vocational Qualifications Authority (VQA), the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) and the Council of Higher Education (CoHE), collectively designated the Responsible Bodies, jointly coordinate and implement the framework.
Türkiye is a member of the EQF Advisory Group and participates in the European Higher Education Area, often called the Bologna process. It referenced its framework to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and self-certified to the framework of qualifications for the European higher education area (QF-EHEA) in 2017. It re-referenced to the EQF, updating its referencing report, in 2025.
The TQF is in the operational stage.
