Shaping the Centres of Vocational Excellence Agenda: Policy Compendium Preview and Priority Challenges

The webinar is part of the activities in the joint initiative Towards a Global TVET Agenda (TGTA) sponsored by the German Federal Ministry for Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ) and implemented by the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). It brings together key international partners (The European Training Foundation (ETF), ILO, OECD, UNESCO-UNEVOC,) to enhance the attractiveness, innovation, quality, and excellence of vocational education and training globally.
As part of this work, ETF is preparing a policy compendium that explores the main opportunities and challenges shaping the development of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) globally. The webinar will addresses key CoVE challenges in four main areas:
- Governance and funding
- Teaching and learning
- Coordination and cooperation
- Cross-cutting issues shaping CoVEs globally, including green and digital transition.
The webinar will also provide an opportunity for participants to engage in discussion on how these issues are being addressed across different contexts and what they imply for the future development of vocational excellence.
