On 4-5 December 2024, the ETF is organising the High-Level Group meeting with vice-ministers of Education and Labour of the countries of Central Asia in the framework of the EU-funded project “Dialogue and Action for Resourceful Youth in Central Asia” (DARYA).

The second DARYA High-Level Group meeting will provide opportunities to discuss further means for sustainable cooperation in the area of skills development and youth employability. It will focus on how establishing sustainable policy dialogue can support long-term benefits for all stakeholders, enhancing partnerships and social and economic prosperity across the region.

With the umbrella topic of sustainability, the event will also explore ways how to systematically integrate elements of green transition into skills development reforms, particularly within the framework of DARYA.

The event will take place in Central Asia, providing an opportunity for an engagement of stakeholders and familiarisation with the regional priorities. The meeting will help to define the role of DARYA in supporting sustainable regional cooperation and provide guidance for actions in 2025-2027. A key focus will be on ensuring that DARYA initiatives elevate the standards and accessibility of education, vocational training, and employment systems in Central Asia, with an emphasis on sustainability, relevance, and long-term effectiveness for the benefit of young people.
