Call for papers on governance: a conference in Singapore

Multilevel governance, public-private partnerships, decentralisation, schools self-governance: all of this is relevant to vocational skills development. To know more, we are launching a call for papers on vocational education and training governance, to be presented at the International Institute of Administrative Sciences conference “Effective, Accountable, and Inclusive Governance” (18-21 June, Singapore).

As a partner of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences, we are coordinating the call for papers to encourage knowledge exchange at a global level: researchers, practitioners, authorities, civil society groups, experts dealing with vocational education and training, lifelong learning, skills for employability are invited to present their research or reflection on experience.

The areas for submission are the following:

  • Multilevel governance and partnerships approaches on vocational education and training and skills systems within lifelong learning perspective;
  • Public-private partnerships for vocational skills development, including financial and non-financial arrangements for employers’ engagement in vocational education and training policy making.
  • Decentralisation forms of vocational education and training and skills governance, including roles, functions and policy areas.
  • Vocational school (self) governance addressing managerial, financial and/or accountability dimensions and policy practices.

The deadline to submit an abstract is the 1st of March, 2019. To know more:
