Unlocking youth potential in South Eastern Europe and Turkey: Skills development for labour market and social inclusion
The paper focuses on young people in the region of South Eastern Europe and Turkey (SEET) and investigates their participation and performance in education and the labour market and their entrepreneurial potential. It also discusses the risks of social exclusion of young people in the region. The analysis illustrates that skills and labour market policies ‘came of age’ during the last decade, departing from rather weak links between education and labour market demand.
