LEPL College, Akhali Talga

The college ,,Akhali Talga” has a long history. The secondary technical professional institution was set up in Kobuleti, in 1963. The institution has been developed and improved over the years. As a result of many successful reforms, in 2012, the college was established for the first time in our country on base of the institution, passed authorization process and granted the status college ,,Akhali Talga”. The training program was also improved along with authorization process, as well as appropriate material recourses. Since 2015, the college has been actively involved in the process of developing framework documents, as well as piloting modular programs. At the time of reauthorization in 2016, the college was authorized to implement 29 modular programs by the decision of professional education authorization board. Today the college is authorized for 52 educational programs, (among them 9 dual) and 2264 professional students. Material technical base and equipment meet the requirements of modern standards. The college has environment for students with different abilities, dormitory, hotel. The college implements short-term training courses together with budgetary and long-term programs. The college constantly cares about quality improvement. It is involved in different projects in Georgia. In 2016, the college passed European Model of quality management - EFQM validation. 105 high-qualified teachers are employed in the college, most of them are invited from the business sector. They are trained internally and externally of the country within international projects and with the help of the partners. The college actively collaborates with different professional institutions. It is important to mention that the college has Close relationship with Valga professional institution in Estonia and Brillat-Savarin-School in Germany. Together with them, we implement exchange programs for students and teachers. In 2017-2018, the college had a branch in Batumi, and since 2018, it started working in high mountain Adjara, for opening a new branch in Khulo.
