EU Regulatory Framework
In accordance with European Union law, the ETF is committed to ensuring implementation of the transparency principle by giving access, if possible, to its documents following requests from the public.
However, the ETF must also guarantee to protect information held on individuals in accordance with the Regulation 45/2001 of the EU Parliament and of the Council.
Data protection
Data protection is the safeguarding of the privacy rights of individuals in relation to the processing of personal data. The Regulation (EC) 45/2001 on Data Protection confers rights on individuals as well as placing responsibilities on those persons processing personal data.
Video-surveillance
Based on Council Regulation of 19 March 2001 adopting the Council's security regulation, the video-surveillance policy serves to describe the current systems and methods in place at the ETF. The policy covers the video-surveillance systems installed and managed by the ETF in its building.
Public access to documents
Based on principle of transparency, the ETF provides access to documents for greater clarity and opennes in all areas of its operations in its daily activities as well as in the interaction with stakeholders.
