Cedefop’s study visits open to Croatia, Turkey and Iceland

The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training, Cedefop, an EU agency, which promotes the development of vocational education and training (VET) within the European Union, will organise in 2011 study visits for officials, experts and other people involved in development of VET policies.

Apart from EU countries, nationals from Croatia, Iceland and Turkey, among ETF partner countries, are eligible to participate in Cedefop’s programme.

The study visits welcome all those responsible for the development of education and vocational training policies, including directors of education and vocational training establishments, guidance centres and validation and accreditation centres; teacher trainers; education and training inspectors; and representatives of employers associations and trade unions.

The first round of visits specifically addresses high-level policymakers responsible for education and training at national, regional and local level. The visits will focus on topics such as raising quality of VET in cooperation with employers and higher education, and the role of social partners in developing national qualifications frameworks.
