Year/Date: 03/05/2012
Members of the European Parliament - Richard Falbr and Catherine Trautmann from the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats (S&D), and Csaba Sógor from European People Party (EPP) paid a visit to the ETF on 3 and 4 May.
Madlen Serban, ETF director, presented the agency, and introduced to the operations of the ETF, including the Torino Process, and the work in the European Neighbourhood.
The MEP had also a chance to learn about the thematic work of the ETF in the areas of entrepreneurial learning, qualifications frameworks, social cohesion, and migration management.
‘Everybody is interested in having a decent neighbour,’ said Mr Falbr. ‘This is why the job the ETF is doing is extremely important.’
‘I am impressed by the job they are doing because it’s not a political job but a real job done for helping those nations, which often do not have experience in how a decent market economy works,’ said Mr Falbr.
