European Parliament experts on ETF Governing Board

Jan Andersson, Jean-François Mézières and Sara Parkin received the support of the Parliament’s Committee of Employment and Social Affairs to become experts on the ETF’s Governing Board.
Mr Andersson is a Swedish politician and former chairman of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs of the European Parliament. Before he entered politics in 1988, he had been a teacher in his home town, Helsingborg in southern Sweden.
Mr Mézières, French, is the president of the European Vocational Training Association and a senior official (Directeur Général délégué) responsible for education and training in France’s central region.
Ms Parkin from United Kingdom is a founding director of Forum for the Future, a non-profit organisation working globally with business and government on sustainable food, energy and finance.
Mr Mézières amd Ms Parlin have been serving on the ETF’s Board since 2009 and were reappointed.
In accordance with Article 7 of Regulation (EC) No 1339/2008 establishing a European Training Foundation (ETF), the agency has a Governing Board to which participate also "three non-voting experts appointed by the European Parliament".
The Parliament’s Committee transmitted their names to the President of the European Parliament in view of the designation by the Conference of Presidents.
