A spotlight on good practice

Year/Date: 29/08/2017

Good Practice

Identifying good practice helps policymakers, business and training providers share knowledge and know-how, prompting further developments. To highlight good practice, and inspire partner countries in their work relating to the Small Business Act for Europe, the ETF has launched two separate Good Practice calls.

TORINO PROCESS AWARD

The first call launched at the Torino Process meeting in June, open to all VET providers in the ETF’s 29 partner countries, seeks good practice examples of entrepreneurial learning as a key competence in the VET curriculum.

This call is inspired by the European Entrepreneurship Competence Framework, which identifies a number of entrepreneurial competence areas. The most inspiring submission will be invited to Brussels during European Vocational Skills Week (20-24 November 2017) where Marianne Thyssen, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, will present the award. Entries close on 20 September 2017. #EUVOCATIONALSKILLS week award.

Helping SMEs go global!

The second call focuses on the training for internationalisation of SMEs. A key priority of the SBA is to get more SMEs working internationally, reaching new export markets.

Training is an important factor in supporting this. The ETF is seeking good practice examples of training from both ETF partner countries and EU Member States that supports business to trade internationally, in particular ETF partner countries with specific trade arrangements with EU. Applications close 30 September 2017.
